Silent Protocol’s incentivized trusted setup ceremony

Silent Protocol is on a mission to encrypt Ethereum through the help of Ghost Layer — a Layer 1.5 designed for smart contract assets and built on its patent-pending framework EZEE to enable composable privacy in Web3 applications at scale.

The Ghost Layer will be launching in February 2025.

However, we must host our trusted setup ceremony before the launch of our Ghost Layer.

Introducing Silent Protocol’s Disjunction of Spirits

Silent Protocol’s gamified Trusted Setup Ceremony: Contribute and Earn OGPs.

What is this trusted setup ceremony?

Silent Protocol is launching the Silent Trusted Setup Ceremony, a cryptographic event designed to secure the Protocol’s zk-SNARK implementation. This ceremony invites participants to contribute randomness to the system, ensuring its security and robustness.

The ceremony will be kept open from January to August 2025.

You will need a referral link to join the ceremony(keep reading)

You will not need to {connect any wallet}, {sign any transaction}. You would simply need to provide computing resources and randomness to participate in the ceremony.

Why Participate in the Ceremony?

You will be able to earn OGPs for participating in the Protocol, which will later be converted for the $ SILENT token. This is Silent Protocol’s first global airdrop campaign.

By joining, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of privacy in the decentralized world. Your contributions will make privacy a norm, and your rewards will allow you to participate in the growth of Silent Protocol.

How to Participate:

A. Log in to the Silent Protocol Ceremony (You will need a ref link)

Go to Silent Protocol Ceremony(you can find referral link at the end), log in with your X account, and verify your email. This ensures the integrity of the user.

B. Join the Queue

Once you log in, you will automatically be on the “Ceremonies” page, if the circuits are full, you’ll be placed in a queue. While waiting, you can enjoy the Silent Snake game. However, you have to be patient. At that point, you can choose to explore other pages.

C. Pick Your Circuit

Once it’s your turn, select from the available zk-SNARK circuit. Each circuit requires its own individual contribution. You can select 1-out-of-N circuit available for contribution. Every 15 minutes, N users can enter the contribution point, where they can choose any available circuit for contribution.

d. Start Contributing

Once you have selected a circuit that’s available for Contribution (you have to select one within 15 minutes), click the Contribute button, and use your cursor to generate randomness for the setup ceremony. After that, enter a random string to enhance the randomness of your Contribution.

e. Submit Contribution

Choose Contribute or Contribute and Tweet. Don’t close your browser until your Contribution is uploaded. After your contribution uploads, you’ll see a confirmation screen. A tweet will be posted if you select the Contribute and Tweet option. If you do not contribute within 15 minutes, you will be moved to the end of the queue and need to wait for another opportunity to retry.

g. Earn Rewards

Each Contribution earns you points known as OGPs that can be converted into $SILENT tokens later. Invite others for additional points and climb the leaderboard for even more rewards!

h. Contribute to Another Circuit

You can contribute to other circuits once you have finished the Contribution on the first circuit. Your previous contributions will be displayed. You will have to rejoin the queue. You can be lucky if the queue is small. However More Contribution = More OGPs.

Additional Rewards: Boost Your OGPs

  • Boost: You can maximize your points by joining our Discord and inviting a friend to join the ceremony to get a 25% boost to your points.
  • Invite others: You can earn OGPs by inviting other users. Once you have contributed, you can generate a referral link to begin your contribution.
  • Point Conversion: Points can be converted into Silent tokens once the token generation event occurs.

Security & Trust

The Silent Trusted Setup Ceremony is built on a 1-of-N trust assumption. This means the system remains secure once one participant destroys their secret input. The ceremony is protected against bugs and single points of failure, ensuring resilience.

Okay, so the ref link?

Yes, you can use any of the following referral links to join the protocols(These are the referral link of our OGs and more will be added, you can choose any link from the list to join into the protocol)
